Job summary

Legends Global in Tysons, VA is seeking an experienced hospitality professional to support artist catering in a fast-paced live-event setting. You will anticipate guest needs, respond to concerns, take beverage and menu orders, and coordinate with kitchen/bar via Micros terminal to ensure accurate, timely service.

You will deliver food and drinks, manage opening/closing duties, memorize menus and specials, and uphold safety and sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of high-volume restaurant experience.
• Strong guest relations and service orientation.
• Knowledge of wine and liquor basics.
• Ability to maintain safety and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate and respond to guest needs with a friendly, positive attitude.
• Take menu, beverage and bar orders from artists and communicate orders to kitchen/bar via Micros terminal.
• Deliver food and beverages and remove dirty items; ensure correct presentation and special requests.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety; keep up with opening/running/closing duties per policy.

Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAnticipate and respond to guest needsRespond to guest concerns/complaints regarding food or service and correct errors or resolve complaints with a friendly, positive attitudeOrganize and prioritize service per appropriate service sequenceTake menu, beverage and bar orders from artists and communicate orders to kitchen and/or bar through micros terminalCheck food orders prior to serving to ensure that they are correct, properly presented, and that special requests have been metDeliver food and beverages to artistPerform opening/running/closing duties according to HOB policyMaintain line of sight/atmosphere control by circulating through work area throughout shiftHave the ability to memorize menus and daily specialsRemove dirty plates, glasses, etc., from green rooms once artist has finishedClean spills on tables or around work areaMaintain HOB safety and sanitation standardsHave knowledge of all music, promotional or special events in the houseProvide production coordinator with proper documents to enable catering costs to be calculated and flashed accuratelyCommunicate any last-minute menu changes or dietary restrictions to the kitchen staff for executionEnsure dressing rooms are set up with agreed rider and in-house items upon bands arrivalEnsure all traces of previous occupants are removed and room is cleanEducation and/or Experience2-5 years high volume experience in restaurant operationsSkill in guest relationsWine & Liquor knowledgeHigh School DiplomaTransportation in order to retrieve anything the artist may require that we do not carry on site.Physical DemandsFast paced work environment with extended periods of prolonged standing and working on your feetMust be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.Applicants for employment in the U.S. must possess work authorization which does not require sponsorship by the employer for a visa.NoteThe essential responsibilities of this position are described under the headings above.
