Job description

We are seeking an dependable and detail-oriented Greenhouse Manager/Grower to lead our planting operations within a greenhouse environment. Preferably, the candidate would have a degree in Horticulture with a focus on greenhouse production. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee all aspects of plant growth, crop production, and horticultural management. The ideal candidate will bring hands‑on experience in greenhouse cultivation, irrigation management, pest control, and team leadership.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily greenhouse operations, ensuring optimal plant health and productivity through effective crop scheduling and environmental controls
• Oversee irrigation systems and manage irrigation schedules to maintain proper moisture levels for various crops
• Implement and monitor standard operating procedures (SOPs) for planting, pruning, harvesting, and pest management to ensure consistency and quality
• Maintain detailed records of crop production, environmental conditions, pest control activities, and irrigation schedules for compliance and continuous improvement

Skills

• Greenhouse experience with a strong understanding of horticulture principles and crop cultivation techniques
• Proficiency in irrigation management
• Knowledge of plant pest control methods and integrated pest management practices
• Ability to operate hand tools, mechanical equipment, and irrigation systems safely and efficiently
• Works well with a team and has excellent communication skills and leadership qualities
• Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related crop treatment and fertilization.
• Physical ability for heavy lifting, standing for long periods, bending, kneeling, and performing outdoor tasks in various weather conditions

Additional Requirements:

Forty hours per week except in May where OT is required. Flexible scheduling on the off season based on need.
