Job summary

The Ohio Greenhouse Company is seeking a Greenhouse Lead to supervise and support a team producing high-quality results efficiently in our greenhouse facility in Wapakoneta, OH. You will be accountable for maintaining overall aesthetics and ensuring staff adherence to safety and quality standards.

We value self-motivation, flexible scheduling, and strong communication. Prior leadership experience is preferred, and the role requires standing and walking for extended periods in a greenhouse

Responsibilities

• Supervise greenhouse staff and assist as needed to keep production on track.
• Spend one-on-one time with employees to ensure greenhouse standards are met.
• Record work progress and report to Supervisors/Labor Manager.
• Walk greenhouse rows to ensure work is performed correctly and safety guidelines are followed.
• Escalate employee issues to the Labor Supervisors/Manager as needed.
• Enforce all food safety guidelines within the greenhouse.

The Greenhouse Lead is responsible for ensuring that Greenhouse employees are trained and able to produce quality results efficiently. The Greenhouse Lead is accountable for the overall aesthetics of the greenhouse.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Keep employees motivated by supervising and assisting them when needed.
• Spending one on one time with employees to ensure that greenhouse standards are met.
• Record work progress and report to Supervisors/Labor Manager as required.
• Walk greenhouse rows to ensure that work is being done properly and safety guidelines are followed.
• Report any issues to management as necessary.
• Be familiar with and enforce all food safety guidelines within the greenhouse.
• Escalate employee issues to the Labor Supervisors/Manager as needed.
• Prior leadership experience is preferred.
