Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in horticulture, environmental science, biology, education, agriculture, or related field.
• Experience in caring for plants in a greenhouse or hydroponics setting.
• Experience developing or teaching educational programs for students of varying ages.
• Valid CT driver's license and ability to drive van or small transport vehicles.
• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred and IPM knowledge an asset.

Responsibilities

• Develop partnerships with schools and educational organizations and create standards-aligned curriculum.
• Lead hands-on educational activities for students and community participants.
• Adapt lessons for different grades and learning styles and evaluate programs.
• Maintain greenhouse operations: watering, pruning, pest management, and records.
• Collaborate with CHC providers, teachers, and staff to integrate greenhouse learning into initiatives.
