Qualifications

• Degree or certification in horticulture, agriculture, plant science, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily greenhouse crop production from transplant to harvest.
• Monitor plant health, growth rates, and crop quality.
• Adjust irrigation, fertigation, ventilation, heating, cooling, and shading systems.
• Maintain optimal environmental conditions for crop performance.
• Track crop data, system performance, and production records.
• Train staff on growing practices and system use as needed.
• Provide backup coverage to Field grower and crew supervisor.
• Troubleshoot equipment, sensors, and automation systems.
• Work with maintenance and leadership teams to improve system reliability and efficiency.
• Ensure sanitation and compliance with standard operating procedures.

We are seeking a skilled Greenhouse Grower and Systems Manager to oversee crop production and the performance of greenhouse systems that support plant health, efficiency, and consistency. This role is responsible for growing high-quality crops while managing irrigation, climate control, fertigation, and other production systems. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable combining plant knowledge with technical systems oversight.

Responsibilities

• - Manage daily greenhouse crop production from transplant to harvest
• - Monitor plant health, growth rates, and crop quality
• - Adjust irrigation, fertigation, ventilation, heating, cooling, and shading systems as needed
• - Maintain optimal environmental conditions for crop performance
• - Scout for pests, diseases, nutrient issues, and stress symptoms
• - Track crop data, system performance, and production records
• - Help facilitate planting schedules, crop rotations, and production timelines
• - Troubleshoot equipment, sensors, and automation systems
• - Work with maintenance and leadership teams to improve system reliability and efficiency
• - Ensure sanitation and compliance with standard operating procedures
• - Train staff on growing practices and system use as needed

Qualifications: Qualifications

• - Experience in greenhouse growing, controlled environment agriculture, or horticulture
• - Strong understanding of plant nutrition, irrigation, and environmental controls
• - Familiarity with greenhouse automation and monitoring systems
• - Ability to diagnose crop and system issues quickly
• - Good recordkeeping and communication skills
• - Ability to work in a greenhouse environment and perform hands‑on tasks
• - Degree or certification in horticulture, agriculture, plant science, or related field preferred

Preferred Skills

• - Experience with climate computers, fertigation systems, and sensor-based controls
• - Knowledge of integrated pest management
• - Experience improving production efficiency and crop consistency
• - Ability to analyze data and make informed growing decisions
