Job summary

Mastronardi Produce Ltd. in Maine seeks a greenhouse supervisor to oversee operations and ensure timely, productive work in a year‑round indoor environment.

The role involves training staff, coordinating with departments, and maintaining strict health and safety standards; candidates should have 2+ years supervisory experience and strong MS Office skills. This is a 44 hour/week position with weekends/holidays as required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent required.
• At least two years Supervisory experience required.
• Literacy with MS Office products and internet navigation.
• Physically capable of greenhouse activities and heat.
• Effective verbal and written communication in English.
• Ability to take leadership role and show initiative.
• Attention to detail and good interpersonal skills.
• Manage 30+ workers and related tasks.
• Familiar with Hortimax/FS labor system or similar.

Responsibilities

• Ensure greenhouse work is completed timely and productively.
• Grow the crop activities include lowering, pruning, picking, etc.
• Train and keep workers motivated.
• One-on-one time with employees to ensure standards.
• Supervise yearly activities such as clean-out and planting.
• Establish work schedules and procedures with Labor Manager.
• Resolve work-related issues using company procedures.
• Prepare and submit quality reports to the Labor Manager.
• Enforce Health and Food Safety guidelines in the greenhouse.
• Complete Health and Food Safety paperwork as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
