Job summary

Sapsf in the United States is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to lead development and launch of scalable manufacturing processes for a greenfield facility, from planning through ramp-up and handover.

You will translate product and process requirements into repeatable production systems, partner with engineering, quality, and supply chain, and drive PFMEA, process validation, and line readiness to meet aggressive launch timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, mechanical, industrial or related field.
• 7+ years of manufacturing engineering, launch, or industrialization experience.
• Experience in large-scale environments such as automotive, aerospace or high-volume manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, work instructions, and shop-floor execution.
• Experience collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams across engineering, operations, quality, and supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Lead process development from concept through production launch and ramp-up.
• Define line requirements, tooling, fixtures, labor, and process flows.
• Create and maintain work instructions, SOPs, flow diagrams, routings, and standard work.
• Collaborate with Product Engineering, Operations, Quality, Equipment, Controls, IE, Layout, Supply Chain and Facilities.
• Provide inputs for PFMEA, control plans, APQP/PPAP, validation, trials, audits, and readiness reviews.
• Lead station readiness, tooling readiness, equipment readiness, manpower readiness, material readiness, and quality readiness.
• Analyze performance metrics (OEE, cycle time, downtime, yield) and drive corrective actions.
• Lead continuous improvement using lean, Kaizen, 5S, VSM, SMED, Poka-Yoke, and standardized work.
• Assess supplier feasibility for outsourced parts, tooling, fixtures, and equipment.
