Alpaca VC in New York is seeking a software engineer to architect technical infrastructure enhancing venture capital performance with AI. This role allows for significant autonomy, where you will directly influence system architecture and deployment.

Ideal candidates will have 3-6 years of software engineering experience, strong programming skills, and deep knowledge of integration architecture and LLM APIs. This is a high-impact position with exposure to venture capital and new system deployments.

Qualifications

• 3-6 years of software engineering experience with production systems.
• Strong Python skills with experience in data processing services.
• Experience with APIs, understanding auth flows and data integrity.

Responsibilities

• Architect and own systems that enhance fund performance.
• Deploy infrastructure across business units and create technical SOPs.
• Work closely with leadership on technical tradeoffs and system design.

Skills

Software engineering or technical product experience

Python or other object-oriented programming

APIs, webhooks, and integration architecture

LLM APIs experience (OpenAI, Anthropic)

Workflow orchestration familiarity
