Job summary

Referment is hiring an applied AI engineer to design and build bespoke AI agents and applications for real business workflows in a fast-moving environment. You will own greenfield projects from discovery through production deployment, while also developing reusable frameworks, retrieval systems and shared AI infrastructure to enable wider adoption across teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and extensive software engineering background.
Hands-on experience building and scaling AI products or platforms.
Knowledge of production agentic systems, orchestration, tools, memory and multi-step reasoning.
Ability to move from discovery to deployment with ownership.

Responsibilities

Design and build bespoke AI agents and applications for real business workflows.
Take greenfield projects from discovery through production deployment.
Build developer tooling and frameworks to improve software workflows.
Evaluate model capabilities and integrate advances into production systems.
Create reusable agent frameworks, retrieval systems, and AI infrastructure.
Develop standards and components to enable wider adoption.
