Job summary

Durango School District is accepting applications for a Green Team Sponsor for the 2026-2027 school year, beginning ASAP. The sponsor will organize, facilitate, and supervise the Green Team and coordinate with the Green Team Lead. Meetings will occur after school twice a month for at least 45 minutes.

The role includes guiding project selection, supporting school events, producing a quarterly newsletter, and recruiting volunteers while communicating with parents. Equal opportunity employer.

Responsibilities

• Organize, Facilitate, and supervise the Green Team for the school.
• Ensure meetings are held with the Green Team twice per month, after school, each at least 45 minutes long.
• Facilitate project selection at the start of the year and develop a year-long work plan for the Green Team.
• Assist students in school events and quarterly newsletters to highlight initiatives.
• Coordinate with the Green Team Lead, attending monthly meetings and participating in start-of-year and end-of-year events.
• Supervise meetings and events, recruit volunteers as needed, and communicate with parents/guardians.
