Job summary

Durango School District 9-R is accepting applications for a Green Team Sponsor for the 2026-2027 school year, beginning ASAP. The sponsor will organize, facilitate, and supervise the Green Team at the school, and lead the application process as developed by the Green Team Lead for the district.

The role requires coordinating meetings (twice monthly, after school, 45+ minutes), developing project plans, assisting student initiatives, and helping produce a quarterly newsletter.

Qualifications

• Organize, facilitate, and supervise the Green Team for the school.
• Meetings are held twice per month after school, at least 45 minutes long.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the building level Green Team project selection and develop a yearly work plan.
• Assist in school events and quarterly newsletters highlighting the team’s initiatives.
• Coordinate with the Green Team Lead and attend monthly meetings.
• Participate in start-of-year and end-of-year events with the Green Team Lead.
• Supervise meetings and recruit volunteers as needed.
• Communicate with parents/guardians of Green Team students.
