Job summary

The UW Office of Sustainability invites applications for a Green Labs Program Manager to build and run a university-wide program focused on energy and water conservation, waste reduction, and sustainable purchasing.

Reporting to the Director, you will lead the Green Labs Working Group, develop initiatives, coordinate with EHS and researchers, measure program success, and drive adoption of best practices across UW labs and research spaces.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in sustainability, environmental science or related fields
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working in or with research laboratories
• Knowledge of green lab best practices

Responsibilities

• Lead Green Labs Working Group meetings and guide program strategy
• Develop and manage sub-programs and initiatives, including budgets and analytics
• Measure, track and analyze program metrics and adoption of best practices across UW labs and research spaces
• Collaborate with EHS staff and researchers to promote sustainability in day-to-day operations
