Job summary

Westrock Coffee Company is seeking a Commodities Lab Associate to manage green coffee and tea samples from receipt through reporting results to suppliers. You will handle data entry, sample prep, evaluations, and maintain the Commodities Quality laboratory organization.

Responsibilities

• Log and evaluate green coffee and tea samples.
• Maintain sample retention program.
• Weigh, roast and taste evaluate samples.
• Enter testing results into the database.
• Prepare and breakdown tasting sessions.
• Operate and maintain small coffee roaster.
• Maintain lab equipment used in evaluation.
• Participate in taste evaluations.
• Identify and communicate quality observations.
• Cross-train on roles with QA Sampler and QA Coordinator.
• Provide support on projects and trainings.
• Keep Commodities Quality laboratories clean and organized.
• Participate in supplier and customer visits.
