Job summary

Darling Ingredients is seeking a Grease Route Driver to operate a grease collection truck and deliver reliable service to our customers. The role involves loading grease containers, ensuring container cleanliness, maintaining the vehicle, and completing route tickets with customer signatures while following safety rules.

You will manage an established route, perform required inspections, and handle daily paperwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be 21 years of age with clean MVR.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience operating a grease route truck or similar vehicle.
• Current CDL with proper endorsements.
• Must be registered on Clearinghouse.fmcsa.dot.gov.

Responsibilities

• Pump or load grease containers; ensure cleanliness of container and surrounding area; return container with screen and lock secured; note damages to container or area; complete route ticket with customer signature.
• Responsible for established route as assigned.
• Maintain company vehicle; keep vehicle in clean condition.
• Conduct safety checks and inspections; operate vehicle per regulations and company policy.
• Attend safety meetings; may serve on Safety Committee.
• Maintain excellent customer relations with professional appearance and attitude.
• Complete all required paperwork (route tickets, inspections, accident reports, mileage reports, service forms, etc.).
• Maintain and update vehicle condition report daily.
• All other duties as assigned.
