Job summary

Darling Ingredients in Louisiana is seeking a Grease Route Driver to operate a grease collection truck and provide reliable service to our customers along a fixed route.

The role requires a 21+ year old driver with a valid CDL and clean MVR, plus experience on similar route trucks. You must be able to perform safety checks, maintain the vehicle, complete route tickets, and work nights or weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 21 years old with clean MVR.
• Current CDL holder with proper endorsements.
• Must be registered on https://clearinghouse.fmcsa.dot.gov/

Responsibilities

• Pump or load grease containers; ensure cleanliness of container and surrounding area; returns container with screen and lock secured; notes any damages to container or corral area; properly completes route ticket with customer signature.
• Responsible for established route as assigned.
• Responsible for company vehicle; keeps vehicle in clean condition.
• Conduct all safety checks, inspections of vehicle; operates vehicle under state/federal/local regulations and in accordance with company policy & procedures; observes all company safety rules.
• Attendance at all safety meetings required; may be asked to serve on Safety Committee.
• Maintain excellent customer relations by presenting professional appearance and attitude.
• Responsible for completing all company required paperwork in accordance with company policies (route tickets, driver vehicle inspection reports, accident reports, mileage reports, service forms, etc).
• Maintain and update vehicle condition report on a daily basis.
• All other duties as assigned.
