Job summary

OpenAI is seeking a Product Lifecycle Assurance IC to scale the GRC function across our product stack, ensuring compliance at launch and prompt regression detection.

You'll partner with Product, Security, Legal, and Privacy to maintain security, privacy, and compliance claims, providing customers and regulators verifiable assurances about how OpenAI handles data. You will own the end-to-end product assurance program from inception to post-launch monitoring.

Qualifications

• Experience building end-to-end product assurance programs across complex tech stacks.
• Ability to implement technical controls and dashboards to monitor risk.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration with product, security, legal, and privacy.
• Experience with CI/CD tooling and developer workflows.
• Ability to make high-stakes risk-based decisions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end operation of OpenAI’s product assurance program.
• Own governance over Safety, Deployment, Security, and Legal reviews to surface risks.
• Drive cross-function collaboration and accountability.
• Build scalable controls in infrastructure, workflows, and launch tooling.
• Ensure teams have guidance to design and launch safety.
• Map compliance, security, and privacy to verifiable controls.
• Align the program with organizational objectives and partner roadmaps.
• Apply judicious decisions in launch reviews and risk posture management.
