Our client is seeking a highly skilled GRC Engineer with strong expertise in Microsoft Purview and Microsoft 365 security/compliance. This role provides technical leadership across data governance, information protection, and compliance initiatives.

The role is fully remote, with occasional onsite meetings required in the Houston, Dallas, Austin, or Washington, DC metro areas. You will implement Purview components, develop governance strategies, and collaborate with Legal, IT, and business

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Law, or related field.
• 5-8 years managing and securing Microsoft 365 environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview.
• Experience with Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Exchange on-premises.
• Strong understanding of DLP, data classification, retention, legal hold, eDiscovery, and compliance.
• Experience with Azure Information Protection.
• Familiarity with identity federation and business continuity.
• Experience working with legal, compliance, or information governance teams is highly desirable.

Responsabilités

• Implement and manage Microsoft Purview, including Information Protection, DLP, retention, eDiscovery, and Compliance Manager.
• Develop data classification, labeling, governance, and retention strategies.
• Support legal hold and eDiscovery requirements.
• Implement security and compliance controls across Microsoft 365 and Azure.
• Manage insider risk and security alerts.
• Work with Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Exchange on-premises.
• Develop PowerShell automation and management scripts.
• Partner with Legal, IT, Information Governance, and business stakeholders.
• Conduct audits, assessments, reporting, and continuous improvement of the firm's security and compliance posture.
