Qualifications

• GED or High School Diploma is required.
• Prior gravure printing experience is helpful but not required.
• Must be able to lift and perform material handling duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Obeys all plant/safety rules and OSHA regulations.
• Maintains written job procedures for the make ready area.
• Performs pre-make ready tasks, including retrieving cylinders and prepping them for presses.
• Safely handles doctor blades and boxes.
• Coordinates work orders with design numbers for cylinder matching.
• Operates hoist to lift cylinders and assemble parts for presses.
• Checks press cylinders for wear or damage.
• Cleans and washes all parts after jobs using safety procedures.
• Prepares cylinders for storage and transports waste safely.
• Maintains housekeeping and safe tool/equipment practices.
• Receives training for next labor grade in press operations.
• Operates power industrial truck safely.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
