Job summary

Amcor in Richmond, VA seeks a General Technician - Press to support Gravure Press operations, including setup, quality checks and material handling. You will perform make-ready duties, load and stage product, assist during downtime, operate forklifts if required, and maintain a clean, safe work area in a fast-paced packaging environment.

Applicants should have a High School diploma or GED and 1–3 years related production experience, plus safety training for lift trucks.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; 1–3 years related production experience or equivalent training.
• Very good mechanical and physical ability.
• Lift truck operators must have safety training for operation of all company equipment.

Responsibilities

• Receive product from Press, stack and palletize.
• Perform setup, load and print quality checks; ensure products meet specifications.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and follow PPE procedures; assist during downtime.
• Assist in changing impression rollers and other press setup tasks as required.
• Operate forklift for material handling when applicable and ensure proper labeling and waste disposal.
