Job summary

RR Donnelley in Wisconsin is hiring for press operators on 2nd and 3rd shifts. You will set up, adjust, and run gravure or multi-color offset presses, ensuring color accuracy and precise registration. Expect make-ready tasks, plate handling, and routine maintenance with opportunities for overtime.

Qualifications

• Set up, adjust, operate, and maintain a gravure press or multi-color offset press to print single-color, two-color, and/or multi-color work with critical color values and registration requirements.
• Review job specifications to determine the press setup according to the imposition of the run (sheet wise or work and turn).
• Make-ready tasks: hang plates, install cylinders, inspect plates/cylinders for imperfections, position images, prep blankets, adjust tension and register.
• Make color corrections and press adjustments to meet quality specifications.
• Maintain and repair press parts and perform manufacturer-recommended maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, operate, and maintain gravure/multi-color offset presses per job specs.
• Review specifications to determine press setup and run imposition.
• Perform make-ready tasks and inspect printing plates/cylinders for accuracy.
• Make color corrections and/or adjustments to meet quality standards.
• Inspect, clean, lubricate, troubleshoot, and perform minor repairs on presses.
