Job summary

Lamb Weston, Inc. in Richland, WA is seeking a Graveyard shift sanitation team member to work on the mash line Monday through Friday for 8-hour shifts.

This role focuses on cleaning, sanitation, and safe operations in a high-volume food production facility. You will follow strict safety and 5S guidelines, communicate with team and supervisors, and participate in safety programs while maintaining cleanliness and readiness of the plant for production.

Qualifications

• General cleaning of floors, walls, equipment and tools to ensure safe and productive operation.
• Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and maintenance on sanitation issues.
• Must be lock-out/tag-out qualified.
• Participate in plant safety programs and perform risk assessments.
• Follow instructions and be aware of safety practices and 5S procedures.

Responsibilities

• General cleaning of floors, walls, equipment and tools to ensure that the equipment works in a safe and productive manner.
• Inspect areas in the plant to evaluate the cleaning and sanitizing to insure the plant is cleaned in accordance with State, Federal, and Company standards.
• Communicate effectively with other team members, supervisors, team leads, and maintenance personnel on sanitation issues.
• Must be lock-out/tag-out qualified.
• Responsible for working in a safe and productive manner throughout the work day.
• Participate in all plant safety programs. Perform risk assessments and demonstrate ownership as well as leadership in personal safety and the safety of other team members.
• Have the ability and willingness to follow instructions.
• Have the required knowledge of cleaning chemicals, their use, safety precautions, proper cleaning techniques, methods, and procedures involved in cleaning the plant.
• Read, understand, and obey all plant rules and practices safety as outlined in the employee handbook.
• Must be conscientious and consistent in his/her work.
• Be able to be work independently, be organized, and plan ahead.
• Be knowledgeable of proper body mechanics and safe lifting techniques.
• Be knowledgeable of the potential hazards and safety procedures associated with the task being done.
• Comply with 5S process/procedures at all times.
