Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a truck driver in Michigan with experience operating 18-speed trucks. The role offers a starting pay of $28.18 per hour and a $2,000 sign-on bonus, plus robust benefits and paid time off.

You’ll be responsible for safely operating trucks, securing loads, and completing daily reports while adhering to safety standards. We provide medical plans with employer contributions, a 401(k) with match, holidays, and an Employee Assistance Program.

Qualifications

• Experience driving 18-speed trucks.
• CDL with endorsements as required.
• 1 year of satisfactory driving experience with commercial vehicles.
• Must meet safety-sensitive requirements per company standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate truck and hydraulic systems on assigned routes.
• Ensure loads are secured and tarp/tailgate closed properly.
• Dump loads and ensure trailer is emptied.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete reports daily.
• Report mechanical issues to supervisor immediately.
• Maintain route quality and safety standards.
• Keep vehicle clean and wear required PPE at all times.
• Maintain accurate load tickets and documentation.
• Attend safety and branch meetings.
• May work overtime as needed.
