Job summary

Texas Freedom Network seeks a part-time Organizing Associate based in Austin, Texas to build and mobilize grassroots support around education, civil rights, and LGBTQ+ rights. You will assist the organizing team with mobilizing volunteers, educating activists, and cultivating partnerships with statewide stakeholders.

Reporting to the Organizing Director, you will help coordinate meetings, rallies, and hearings while committing to TFN's core values and equal-opportunity principles.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of Texas electoral dynamics and legislative process.
• Must have reliable transportation and the ability to get to and from the TFN office and Capitol complex.
• May work outside of normal business hours, including evenings or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, mobilize, and educate grassroots volunteers and activists across Texas.
• Assist with campaign issue research, monitoring, and reporting.
• Build and maintain an active base of community advocates for meetings, rallies, and hearings.
• Support relationship building with key partners and stakeholders statewide and day-to-day program needs.
