Domtar in Cross City, Florida seeks a Loader Operator (Grapple) to join its sawmill team. This full-time permanent role loads and transports bulk materials and logs, operates a front-end loader and grapple, and ensures safe, efficient material handling and feed to conveyors.

Under supervision, you will perform routine maintenance, document checks, and uphold environmental and safety standards while collaborating with maintenance and other departments.

Responsibilities

• Operates loader around sawmill production site and safely handles materials.
• Uses grapple to pick up and transport logs for processing.
• Performs routine maintenance on loader and documents checks.
• Reviews mechanical issues with maintenance department.
• Maintains effective work relationships within all departments and with the community.
• Complies with environmental regulations when handling materials and wastes.
• Maintains safety practices and punctual attendance.
• Works in a state of alertness and in a safe manner.
