Wayfair is seeking a software engineer in Mountain View, CA for a hybrid role (in-office Tue–Thu). You will contribute to building and evolving our federated GraphQL infrastructure and tooling to support thousands of engineers and millions of daily requests.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of software development experience in modern distributed services architecture.
• Proficiency in Java, TypeScript, Rust, JavaScript or equivalent.
• Strong engineering excellence and high overall quality bar.
• Familiarity with infrastructure solutions (Kubernetes, Docker, Cloud, etc.).
• Experience with collaboration in diverse teams and effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Build and enhance software on the GraphQL platform ecosystem.
• Help drive platform roadmap and engineering best practices.
• Support and grow the Wayfair GraphQL community and tooling.
• Collaborate with a cross-functional team to deliver scalable graph endpoints.
