Job summary

Brooksource is seeking a software engineer to join the Strata Engineering team in Charlotte, NC. You will design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs powering customer and agent experiences in a cloud-native, AWS-based environment.

You\'ll build REST and GraphQL APIs with Node.js and TypeScript, create middleware, and collaborate with Product, DevOps, Salesforce, and Contact Center teams to deliver scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with JavaScript/TypeScript backend development.
• Experience building GraphQL APIs in Node.js.
• Experience designing distributed systems and SOA.
• Experience deploying on AWS.
• Understanding cloud-native principles.
• Experience with CI/CD and automated testing.
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs powering customer and agent experiences.
• Build scalable REST and GraphQL APIs using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Develop middleware to connect customer-facing apps with backend systems.
• Contribute to contact center solutions including chat and authentication.
• Design and support cloud-native solutions in AWS with serverless and containers.
• Partner with Product, DevOps, Salesforce, and Contact Center teams.
• Participate in code reviews and establish engineering best practices.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for testing and deployment.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues to improve reliability.
