Job summary

KIHOMAC in Layton, UT is seeking a skilled graphic designer to create graphics for marketing, proposals, and technical publications. You will develop visually compelling collateral, capability statements, and social media visuals, with emphasis on branding consistency.

You will also produce photography, video, and multimedia content, support executive briefings and web content, and collaborate with engineers, writers, and capture managers to communicate complex concepts clearly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Digital Media, or related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience with a strong portfolio across visual media is required or preferred.
• Experience with photography, videography, and digital media production is strongly desired.

Job description

• Develop graphics and multimedia content supporting KIHOMAC corporate marketing, communications, business development, capture, proposals, and technical publications
• Develop visually compelling marketing materials, including capability statements, brochures, advertisements, tradeshow materials, posters, signage, displays, recruiting materials, and corporate collateral
• Support Technical Publications by developing technical illustrations, diagrams, photographs, schematics, callouts, and other graphics used in Technical Orders, manuals, work instructions, and customer deliverables
• Create graphics and visual content for social media, including photographs, branded graphics, announcements, employee features, event coverage, corporate milestones, and program-related communications
• Provide photography support for corporate events, facilities, products, manufacturing activities, employees, executive engagements, customer visits, tradeshows, and other company activities
• Plan, capture, edit, and produce video content supporting marketing, recruiting, customer communications, demonstrations, corporate communications, and business development
• Support capture activities by developing photography, video, animations, graphics, storyboards, solution illustrations, and other multimedia products used to communicate KIHOMAC’s approach and discriminators
• Develop high-quality proposal graphics, including solution diagrams, process flows, organizational charts, schedules, infographics, technical illustrations, and other visuals that clearly communicate proposal themes and technical concepts
• Develop and enhance executive and customer briefing charts, particularly Microsoft PowerPoint presentations, ensuring information is visually clear, concise, professional, and consistent with KIHOMAC branding
• Develop and maintain website graphics, imagery, banners, icons, diagrams, photographs, and other digital content in coordination with personnel responsible for website content and administration
• Translate complex engineering, manufacturing, sustainment, and business concepts into graphics that can be readily understood by technical and nontechnical audiences
• Collaborate directly with engineers, technical writers, capture managers, proposal personnel, business development personnel, program managers, and executives to understand communication objectives and develop appropriate visual solutions
• Establish and maintain templates, graphic libraries, photography libraries, video assets, icons, and other reusable corporate visual assets
• Ensure consistent application of KIHOMAC brand standards across internal and external communications
• Prepare graphics for multiple output formats and ensure appropriate image resolution, dimensions, file types, compression, and production quality for print, web, presentations, proposals, and social media
• Assist with visual content associated with tradeshows, conferences, customer visits, groundbreakings, ribbon cuttings, corporate events, and other external engagements
• Coordinate with outside printers, photographers, videographers, exhibit companies, and other vendors when required
• Maintain organized source files and follow company configuration management and file-storage requirements
• Manage multiple concurrent assignments and respond effectively to short-duration proposal, capture, executive briefing, and marketing deadlines
• Review completed products for accuracy, quality, branding, consistency, and professional appearance
• Maintain awareness of emerging graphic design, visualization, video, photography, and digital communication tools and recommend improvements where appropriate

Education/Training:

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Digital Media, Multimedia, Marketing, Communications, or other relevant disciplines preferred
• Degree requirement may be waived based on demonstrated professional experience of 5+ years and portfolio
• Training or demonstrated experience in photography, videography, digital media production, or technical illustration strongly desired

Experience:

• 3+ years of professional graphic design, multimedia, visual communications, or related experience preferred
• Demonstrated professional portfolio covering multiple forms of visual communication
• Professional experience with IsoDraw, CAD Software, Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Premiere Pro or comparable applications
• Strong experience developing professional presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint
• Experience developing graphics for print, digital, web, and social media applications
• Experience with photography and video capture, editing, and production
• Experience developing technical illustrations or communicating complex technical concepts visually preferred
• Aerospace, defense, government contracting, or other technical-industry experience preferred
• Proposal-development and government proposal experience desired행
• Must understand and follow applicable requirements for handling proprietary, export-controlled, sensitive, and classified information

Physical Requirements:

• Able to occasionally reach with hands and arms
• Prolonged periods of computer screen use, while sitting or standing at a desk
• Adhere to safety protocols when in work areas requiring use of PPE (e.g. eyewear, gloves, masks, hearing protection, steel toed shoes, etc.)

Salary:

The projected salary range for this position is $26-$30 per hour plus Travel Pay (as determined by USGSA per diem rates) This is not a guarantee of compensation, rather actual salary will be based on experience, qualifications, and applicable certifications or degrees held. Offered salary may fall outside of this range.
