Job summary

CR&A Custom, a large format printing and visual display company in Los Angeles, seeks an install technician to apply wall murals, window film, floor graphics, and fleet graphics. You will prep surfaces, verify conditions against plans, and operate lifts and common tools on client sites.

Responsibilities

• Install and remove large format graphics on walls, windows, floors, banners, and displays.
• Prepare surfaces before application, including cleaning, masking, and assessing substrate.
• Verify site conditions against shop drawings and installation maps; note discrepancies.
• Operate lifts and tools safely; load and stage materials; maintain equipment readiness.
• Photograph installs, complete punch lists, and report site issues promptly.
• Support shop work between installations: finishing and laminating tasks.

CR&A Custom is a large format printing and visual display company in Los Angeles. We produce and install building wraps, retail and event graphics, tradeshow environments, fleet graphics, and custom displays for national brands, and we ship and install nationwide.

What you will do

• Install and remove large format graphics: wall murals, window perf and film, floor graphics, banners, fabric and SEG displays, rigid substrate signage, dimensional letters, and fleet or vehicle graphics
• Prep surfaces before application, including cleaning, masking, and assessing substrate condition
• Verify site conditions against shop drawings and install maps, measure, and flag discrepancies before starting work
• Operate scissor lifts, boom lifts, ladders, and standard hand and power tools safely
• Load, stage, and secure materials and tools; maintain vehicle and equipment readiness
• Photograph and document each install, complete punch lists, and report site issues promptly
• Work cleanly and professionally on client property, including retail floors, corporate offices, studios, and active event venues
• Support shop work between installs: finishing, laminating assistance, hardware assembly, and warehouse tasks

What you need

• 2+ years of hands on installation experience in a field trade. Signage, graphics, window film or tint, flooring, millwork and fixtures, exhibits and tradeshow, AV, or construction finish work all count
• Comfortable working at height and on powered lifts
• Ability to read and work from shop drawings, site plans, and install maps
• Valid California driver's license, acceptable driving record, and eligibility to be insured on company vehicles
• Reliable transportation and the flexibility to work early mornings, nights, and weekends as jobs require
• Ability to use a smartphone for job photos, time capture, and crew communication
• Professional, punctual, and presentable in client facing environments

Preferred

• Direct large format print or vinyl graphics install experience: squeegee technique, wet and dry application, heat gun and post heating, seam and overlap handling, familiarity with 3M and Avery films
• 3M Preferred Graphics Installer certification or PDAA certification
• Vehicle wrap experience
• Cal/OSHA 10 or 30, aerial and scissor lift certification, forklift certification
• Building wrap, high rise, or rope access experience
• Bilingual English and Spanish
