The Role:

The Graphic Technical Operations Manager will manage Technical Operations and personnel within the assigned region. Establishes strong relationships with the Commercial Management Team to ensure the objectives of each Graphic Technical Center location align and support contractual obligations, contributing to the financial success of the Customer and the North America Commercial Division. Maintains open communication with Customer contacts within their region to ensure the Graphic Technical Teams achieve overall Customer satisfaction related to service and supply. Promotes a strong safety culture within the Region through employee engagement and support in the Field HSE program. Travel as needed to Graphic Technical Centers in the Region is expected.

Job Duties:
  • Train and implement Log program for GTC Managers, conduct annual performance evaluations for all Graphic Tech personnel, and manage performance of all GTC personnel in the region.
  • Maintain staff levels per contractual obligations. Collaborate with Human Resources and the Director of GTCs on coaching, performance improvement, and disciplinary actions as appropriate.
  • Assist in developing and implementing Standard Operating Procedures to meet Customer Quality standards, including xRite training, equipment calibrations, troubleshooting, and downtime logs with improvement actions.
  • Document Regional Customer KPIs by GTC location, review monthly with the Director GTCs to identify improvement opportunities, and implement actions to meet targets.
  • Create a strong Safety / HSE culture in your region. Lead by example, set expectations for training attendance, Scorecards initiatives, Near Miss and Hazard identifications through staff engagement.
  • Coordinate urgent, unforeseen GTC coverage as needed.
  • Align with the Commercial team to lead GTC staff in supporting contractual obligations at Customer locations.
  • Support Technical Service Team in coordinating new customer trials and addressing Customer complaints and downtime.
  • Support divisional initiatives related to SAP and supply chain to improve efficiencies and reduce costs, including training in processes, SAP, Web shop, and non-inventory purchasing.
  • Provide direction for effective return/obsolete ink inventory programs.
  • Meet with Customers to address complaints related to GT Staff and products.
  • Implement overtime approval processes and reduction initiatives, ensuring Customer demand obligations are met.
  • Implement vacation request and approval processes to support Customer coverage while minimizing costs.
  • Maintain equipment asset inventories and transfer equipment at all Customer locations.
