Job summary

Imperial Textile is seeking an entry-level Graphic Production Assistant to join the promotional products division. You will print/plot designs for production, set up artwork for spot-color and four-color processes, and ensure quality throughout the printing workflow.

You will collaborate with the Graphic Artist and Production staff to meet deadlines, trim vinyl, apply designs with a heat press, and help package finished items. This is an on-site role requiring hands-on involvement.

Qualifications

• Proficient with Windows and design software.
• Experience with color matching (Pantones, CMYK, RGB).
• Experience with large format printers/plotters.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Good mathematical and analytical abilities.
• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
• Willingness to cross-train within the Graphic Production department.

Responsibilities

• Utilize graphic program to print/plot designs for production.

• Remove excess vinyl and clean areas between graphics/edges.
• Measure, mark, and prepare cloths and transfers.
• Apply designs to table covers via heat press.
• Ensure quality of supplies and finished products.
• Fold and package produced items.
• Perform related duties as needed.

Entry-level opportunity in our promotional products divisionforcandidate wanting to break into the Graphics field.

Job Description

• Utilize graphic program to efficiently print and/or plot designs for production


• Setup artwork for spot-color, four-color process and wide-format printing


• Ensure equipment is operating within quality specifications


• Work closely with the Graphic Artist, Production Specialist, and Department Manager to ensure that work is processed, reworked, and completed, in order to meet established deadlines


• Remove excess vinyl from in between graphics or letters and around their respective edges


• Proper measurement, marking and preparations of cloths and transfers


• Apply designs to various table cover products using heat press machine


• Ensure quality of both supplies and finished product


• Fold and package produced products


• Perform other related duties as needed/assigned

Qualifications

• Computer Skills: Windows Platform, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop and FlexiSign Pro


• Familiar with Color Matching: Pantones, CMYK, RGB


• Experience with Large Format Printers and Plotters


• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment


• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously


• Good organizational and time management skills


• Problem solving/troubleshooting abilities


• Ability to make accurate measurements with a ruler


• Good math and analytical skills


• Ability to stand and/or sit for extended period of time


• Enjoy working with your hands


• Desire and willingness to be cross-trained within the Graphic Production department or other departments in the company
