GLS North America Upfitters, LLC is seeking a Graphic Installer Technician to apply decals, vinyl graphics, and lettering on brand-new Ford vehicles in a professional shop. Prepare surfaces, measure, and position graphics with high accuracy.

As a Graphic Installer Technician, you will be responsible for applying decals, vinyl graphics, lettering, and other vehicle graphics to brand-new vehicles in a professional automotive shop. You will prepare vehicle surfaces, accurately position and apply graphics, and ensure each installation meets company and customer quality expectations. This position requires strong attention to detail, precision, and the ability to work with a variety of vehicle surfaces and graphic materials.Salary OverviewThe pay rate for this role starts at $23 per hour based on experience.HoursThe hours for this role are Monday through Friday, 7 am to 4 pm.Graphic Installer Technician Responsibilities Include

• Install decals, vinyl graphics, lettering, logos, stripes, and other graphics on vehicles.
• Apply graphics to vehicle doors, windows, body panels, hoods, tailgates, and other designated surfaces.
• Read and interpret graphic installation instructions, templates, layouts, and vehicle-specific specifications.
• Prepare vehicle surfaces by cleaning, degreasing, and removing dirt, debris, wax, and other contaminants before installation.
• Measure and position graphics accurately to ensure proper alignment, spacing, and placement.
• Use squeegees, knives, heat guns, and other graphic installation tools to properly apply and finish vinyl materials.
• Work carefully around vehicle body lines, curves, seams, trim, handles, windows, and other vehicle components.
• Identify and correct air bubbles, wrinkles, lifting edges, misalignment, and other installation imperfections.
• Trim and finish vinyl graphics to achieve a clean and professional appearance.
• Remove existing decals, graphics, or adhesive residue when required.
• Perform quality inspections of completed graphic installations before vehicles are released.
• Maintain accurate documentation of completed work as required.
• Complete assigned graphic installations within established labor times while maintaining exceptional workmanship.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Properly maintain and store graphic installation tools and equipment.
• Follow all company safety, quality, and vehicle handling standards.

Graphic Installer Technician Qualifications And Skills

• Minimum 1–3 years of experience in vehicle graphics, vinyl installation, automotive detailing, sign installation, or a related field preferred.
• Previous experience installing vehicle decals, graphics, lettering, or vinyl preferred.
• Experience working with automotive vinyl and various vehicle surfaces preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and precision.
• Ability to accurately measure, align, and position graphics.
• Ability to read and follow installation instructions, templates, and specifications.
• Experience using squeegees, knives, heat guns, and other vinyl installation tools.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, torque wrenches, and automotive shop equipment.
• Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Ability to identify and correct imperfections in graphic installations.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work around vehicles.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced automotive environment.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work overtime when required.

Graphic Installer Technician Working Conditions And Physical Demands Include

• Approximately 75% of the workday spent standing.
• Frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing, lifting, pushing, pulling, and reaching.
• Working indoors in a professional automotive garage/shop environment.
• Frequent use of hand tools, vinyl installation tools, heat guns, squeegees, and cutting tools.
• Frequent close-up work requiring visual attention to detail and precise hand movements.
• Ability to work around vehicles, automotive equipment, and other shop personnel.
• Frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds.
• May be exposed to automotive fluids, fumes, chemicals, dust, and other materials commonly found in an automotive shop and warehouse environment.
• Must be comfortable working around moving vehicles, automotive equipment, cleaning products, and an active shop environment.
