Job summary

The Pokémon Company International in Bellevue, WA is seeking a mid‑level Graphic Designer II to create production‑ready artwork for apparel, accessories and home goods. You will balance creative concepting with manufacturing‑aware execution and manage 2–4 product sets at once.

You’ll collaborate with cross‑functional partners, adapt artwork to screen print, embroidery and other processes, uphold brand standards, and present designs to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in graphic design for soft and/or hard goods (consumer products such as apparel, decor, packaging).
• Experience preparing production ready files and working within manufacturing constraints/templates.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to present designs to stakeholders and proactively communicate risks/schedule impacts.
• High degree of originality and creativity, providing valuable design insights that support product strategy.
• Proficiency creating design work aligned to brand and licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Merchandise Development team to understand project briefs, audience, and message.
• Create original visuals—illustrations, graphics, patterns, and layouts that support product storytelling.
• Manage 2–4 concurrent design projects to briefs, timelines and stakeholder expectations.
• Adapt artwork to manufacturing processes (screen print, embroidery, sublimation, etc.).
• Translate 2D artwork into production-ready files across substrates and production methods.
• Uphold brand standards and licensing requirements across merchandise and packaging.
• Select fonts and produce sample layouts for approval; address brand and licensing needs.
• Route art concepts for cross-department sign-offs and revisions.
• Prepare drafts and prototypes for review; revise based on feedback.
• Support production design and on-time file deliveries.
• Review strike-offs, proofs with vendor teams; provide clear feedback on quality.
• Identify and escalate risks to timelines and deliverables to managers.
• Research seasonal trends and colors for product storytelling.
• Build relationships and communicate with stakeholders to drive efficient processes.
• Contribute catalog submissions to strengthen breadth of offerings.
• Meet department requirements including hours, conduct, and teamwork.
