Job summary

Oaklawn Jockey Club in Hot Springs, AR seeks a talented Graphic Designer to craft advertising and promotional materials. You will design and produce graphics for campaigns, signage and menus, ensuring branding consistency and high quality under tight deadlines.

The role requires an online portfolio, a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, 2+ years in an agency/branding setting, and proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite. Web/CMS experience and photography/video editing are a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old and have an online portfolio to showcase graphic skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related field required.
• Two years’ experience at an advertising agency/design studio/branding firm.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and related design software.
• Experience creating graphics for print, web ads, and social media.
• Knowledge of printing processes, specs, color and finishing preferred.
• Strong branding standards and layout skills; MS Word/PowerPoint/Keynote skills.
• Excellent organization, time management and ability to work under deadlines.
• Experience with web design, CMS updates, photography and video editing is a plus.

Responsibilities

We are currently seeking a talented Graphic Designer. An individual could be successful if they possess the following.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop creative concepts in collaboration or advertising and promotional materials for Oaklawn.
• Designs and produces advertising, graphics, direct mail and multimedia as directed by the marketing manager; works within branded templates to produce final products in a fast environment with limited corrections.
• Coordinates the creative design and production of materials for marketing programs, ad campaigns, and on-property collateral as directed and assigned by the marketing manager.
• In coordination with other departments, develops the production of internal and external print projects including advertisements, newsletters, menus and signage and any other print and design as required.
• Review designs for errors before printing and publishing them.
• Maintains graphic library for multi-media and in-house murals, signage and collateral.
• Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.
• Responsible for ensuring the compliance with all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to management.
• Broad variety of tasks and deadlines sometimes requires an irregular work schedule.
• Perform any other duties that may be assigned by VP of Marketing and Marketing Director.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have an online portfolio to showcase your graphic skills.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Two (2) years’ experience at an Advertising Agency/Design Studio/Branding Firm.
• Experience working with Adobe Creative Suite and related design software.
• Experience creating graphics for print production, direct mail, website ads, and social media posts/ads.
• Knowledge of printing processes, specs, paper, color, finishing preferred.
• Advanced grasp of graphic design standards as applicable to branding and marketing.
• Proficient in Microsoft Windows Word and Power Point or Keynote.
• Highly organized and detail oriented with excellent time management skills.
• Demonstrated organization skills; able to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure, multi-project, deadline-driven, constantly changing environment.
• Must have excellent interpersonal skills.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design.
• Experience with web design.
• Experience with capturing and editing photography and video.
• Experience updating websites using a CMS.
