Job summary

Invariant LLC. is seeking a mid‑level Graphic Designer to join our Strategic Communications and Public Affairs team in Washington, DC or New York City. You will produce client materials across digital and print, ensuring brand consistency while evolving brand systems.

You will translate Figma designs to PowerPoint and Google Slides, help with proposals, and manage production from brief to delivery within tight timelines. Strong typography and organization are essential.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of graphic design experience in an agency, in‑house, or fast‑paced environment.
• Proficient in Figma with component libraries, auto‑layout, and brand systems.
• Proficient in Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.
• Comfortable translating Figma designs into PowerPoint and Google Slides.
• Strong typography, hierarchy, grid systems, and layout for copy‑heavy materials.
• Experience applying brand standards across formats.
• Able to manage high volume of work with competing priorities and tight turnarounds.
• Strong communicator who asks thoughtful questions and sets clear expectations.

Responsibilities

• Design client‑facing materials across many formats: decks, social, ads, one‑pagers, reports, branding.
• Support new business proposals and brand rollout initiatives.
• Translate designs from Figma into PowerPoint and Google Slides for clients.
• Work across multiple client brand systems and maintain consistency.
• Manage production from brief to delivery and communicate timelines clearly.
• Assist with production overflow, Figma organization, and asset management.
• Collaborate with account teams, clients, and other departments to meet objectives.
• Stay current on emerging design and visual communications trends.
