Job summary

FWI (FedWriters, Inc.) seeks a Graphic Designer to support the HHS Office of Minority Health. The role focuses on creating accessible materials for LEP communities, including infographics, fact sheets, and PDFs that comply with brand guidelines.

Responsibilities include InDesign-based document recreation, collaboration with project managers, and timely revisions in a deadline-driven, remote setting. Requires 3+ years of design experience and security-cleared eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field required.
• At least three years of graphic design and/or PDF layout experience, preferably in public health/government context.
• At least three years of professional experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, InDesign, and Illustrator.
• Ability to juggle multiple design and PDF layout tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
• Eligibility for HHS Public Trust security clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Support plain-language communications and accessibility outreach across platforms and formats (fact sheets, infographics, social media, PSAs).
• Design infographics and graphics for HHS OMH materials.
• Provide design support and consultation on fact sheets, posters, brochures, and similar materials.
• Ensure all designs align with HHS OMH brand guidelines and style guides.
• Recreate documents in Adobe InDesign.
• Make revisions to PDF documents promptly per Project Manager and OHM direction.
• Juggle multiple design and PDF layout tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
• Attend and contribute to biweekly project status update meetings.
