Job summary

Worth Higgins & Associates, Inc. seeks a Signs Graphic Designer to plan layouts and create signage that meets ADA requirements and design standards. You will coordinate with internal teams from concept through production and ensure timely, accurate sign fabrication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• 2–5 years of graphic design or related field experience preferred.
• Signage experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plans and illustrates concepts by designing rough layouts of art and copy with ADA compliance considerations.
• Coordinates with internal teams from concept to project completion.
• Obtains approval of concepts by preparing rough layouts for review.
• Operates typesetting and printing equipment to obtain final copy and art.
• Maintains technical knowledge by attending design workshops and developing skills.
• Reads building schematics to create sign mockups.
• Understands tiling and nesting when preparing files for production.

Job Responsibilities

• Plans and illustrates concepts by designing rough layouts of art and copy regarding arrangement, ADA compliance, size, type size and style, and related aesthetics.
• Coordinates with internal teams, in the design concept phase through completion of a project.
• Obtains approval of concepts by preparing rough layouts for review.
• Obtains final copy and art by operating typesetting and printing equipment, reading sign message schedules.
• Maintains technical knowledge by attending design workshops and further professional skills.
• Ability to read building schematics to create sign mockups.
• Understands tiling and nesting when preparing files for production.
