Job summary

Worth-Higgins- is seeking a Signs Graphic Designer to translate client needs into effective signage. You will plan layouts, ensure ADA compliance, and collaborate with internal teams from concept to production.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field and 2–5 years of experience; familiarity with signage production is a plus. Strong layout, typography, time management and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in related design fields with strong typography
• Experience designing signage or related branding materials is preferred
• Ability to plan layouts, typography and production-ready files to specs

Responsibilities

• Plan and illustrate concepts by designing rough layouts for art and copy
• Coordinate with internal teams from concept to final production
• Obtain approvals by presenting rough layouts for review
• Prepare final copy and art for production using typesetting and printing equipment
• Maintain knowledge by attending design workshops and training
• Read building schematics to create sign mockups
• Prepare files considering tiling and nesting for production

Signs Graphic Designer

Job Responsibilities

• Plans and illustrates concepts by designing rough layouts of art and copy regarding arrangement, ADA compliance, size, type size and style, and related aesthetics.
• Coordinates with internal teams, in the design concept phase through completion of a project.
• Obtains approval of concepts by preparing rough layouts for review.
• Obtains final copy and art by operating typesetting and printing equipment, reading sign message schedules.
• Maintains technical knowledge by attending design workshops and further professional skills.
• Ability to read building schematics to create sign mockups.
• Understands tiling and nesting when preparing files for production.
