Job summary

Signarama is seeking a Graphic Designer for signage production in a fast-paced shop environment. You will design signage to brand standards, prepare fabrication-ready drawings, and collaborate with sales, production, and installation teams to turn briefs into buildable signs.

The role requires a degree in Graphic/Visual Design and 2–4 years of sign industry design experience, proficiency in Illustrator/Photoshop and CAD, and knowledge of sign codes and ADA compliance.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Industrial Design, or related field.
• 2–4 years of sign industry design experience with a portfolio.
• Proficiency in Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD/vector output (DXF/EPS).
• Familiarity with FlexiSign and CorelDRAW.
• Strong understanding of sign codes, ADA compliance, and local zoning.
• Excellent communication and ability to take direction from senior designers.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving in translating designs to drawings.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Design signage to customer brand standards and landlord/franchise criteria.
• Convert designs into fabrication-ready shop drawings with dimensions, mounting details, and electrical callouts.
• Use Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD/vector software to create production files (DXF, EPS).
• Conduct site surveys from field photos and measurements.
• Collaborate with sales, production, fabrication, and installation teams to keep projects moving.
• Ensure designs meet sign codes, permits, and ADA accessibility standards.
• Provide technical support during fabrication and installation.
• Stay updated on materials, fabrication methods, and software.
• Prepare customer-facing design proofs and revise per feedback from sales.
• Maintain organized project files, revisions, and production documentation.
