Job summary

Bosch Building Technologies North America is seeking a Graphics Design Specialist to develop user interfaces and graphics libraries for building automation across Controls brands. You will collaborate to integrate graphics into tools like Alerton and Niagara, contribute to graphics quality and estimation accuracy, and support sales with compelling visuals.

The role requires familiarity with 2D/3D disciplines, CAD tools, and image editing software; a detail-oriented mindset and ability to work

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of experience with Industrial Graphic Design in a professional environment.
• 2D and 3D graphic disciplines proficiency (Photoshop, Blender, etc.).
• CAD software knowledge (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.).
• MS Office Suite proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Read/understand mechanical drawings, shop drawings, and controller databases to produce Graphical User Interfaces.
• Create solutions to improve the quality/cost efficiency of the graphics.
• Create visual graphics to support the sales department.
• Provide input to others to estimate time to complete projects.
• Communicate with project managers and specialists to improve usability of graphics.
• Communicate with external organizations to ensure accurate documentation for graphics.
• Assist in identifying inefficiencies in the graphics creation process and develop solutions.
• 3D rendering, Revit, AutoCAD and image editing/Photoshop familiarity is an asset.
• Visualize and implement design solutions cost-effectively.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Description

Position Summary:The Graphics Design Specialist works with the project teams to develop user interfaces, graphics libraries, and graphics standards for the building automation deliverables across all Controls brands represented by Bosch Building Technologies. They also collaborate as-needed to integrate these graphics into various Controls-specific software tools - primarily Alerton and Niagara.

Responsibilities:

• Read/understand mechanical drawings, shop drawings, and controller databases to produce Graphical User Interfaces.
• Create solutions to improve the quality/cost efficiency of the graphics.
• Create visual graphics to support the sales department
• Provide input to others as requested or required to assist in the accurate estimation of required time to complete the proposed project
• Communicate with project managers and specialists to improve the usability of the graphics
• Communicate with external organizations as required to ensure accurate documentation is utilized in the creation of graphics
• Assist in identifying inefficiencies in the graphics creation process and to help develop solutions to address such inefficiencies.
• 3D rendering, Revit, ACAD, and image editing/Photoshop experience is an asset.
• The ability to visualize and implement design solutions in an efficient a cost-efficient environment
• High level of attention to detail
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1+ years of experience with Industrial Graphic Design in a professional environment.
• Full working knowledge of both 2D and 3D graphic disciplines. (Photoshop, Blender, etc.)
• Knowledge of CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.)
• Full working knowledge of MS Office Suite Programs and Tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Two-year technical degree in HVAC or Electronics related studies. An undergraduate degree in Electrical or Mechanical is a plus.
• Some HVAC experience and/or mechanical aptitude
• Experience reading and interpreting building mechanical documentation (M-sheets, P-sheets, E-sheets)
• Proven proficiency in both 2D and 3D industrial graphic disciplines. (ACAD, Revit, Photoshop, Blender, etc.)
• Experience with DDC controls a plus (Alerton, Distech, Tridium, Niagara)

  required by the job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust
  focus. The use of power tools will be required to effectively perform this position. The employee
  must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and may be required to work at heights over
  1.8m (6 feet)
• Be able to lift and carry drawings, personal computers, material, etc.
• Maintain a satisfactory driving record which, per Bosch's vehicle policy, allows the individual to drive a company vehicle
• Be able to spend a significant amount of time sitting

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to outdoor weather conditions,
work on job sites, may be required to travel to and from job site locations, may work in a typical
office environment, and is occasionally exposed to construction equipment. The noise level in the
work environment is usually moderate. Confined space entry may be required.
