Job summary

Canteen is seeking a talented Graphic Designer to join our in-house creative team in Charlotte, NC. Reporting to the Creative Director, you’ll support a diverse portfolio across print, digital, retail, and environmental touchpoints, bringing brands to life with craft and attention to detail.

You’ll manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, develop production-ready files, and maintain brand integrity across local and national initiatives.

Qualifications

• 2–5+ years of professional graphic design experience in in-house, agency, retail, foodservice, hospitality, or CPG environment.
• Portfolio demonstrating strong capabilities across print, digital, brand, and marketing design.
• Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and Figma.
• Strong knowledge of print production, file preparation, substrates, and vendor management.
• Excellent understanding of typography, layout, visual hierarchy, color theory, and brand systems.
• Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational and project management skills.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and collaborate across teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or related field preferred — strong portfolios will be considered

Responsibilities

• Design and produce high-quality marketing materials across print and digital channels, including promotional campaigns, presentations, signage, brochures, email graphics, social media assets, and web content
• Support Canteen, National Accounts, Dining Concepts, and sub-brands through marketing and brand initiatives
• Create consumer-facing retail signage, point-of-sale materials, and environmental graphics while maintaining brand consistency
• Prepare production-ready files for commercial printing and ensure deliverables meet vendor specifications
• Develop templates and workflows that support local customization while preserving brand integrity
• Assist with product launches, seasonal promotions, concept rollouts, and business development materials
• Maintain organized creative asset libraries, templates, photography, and brand resources
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality

We’re looking for someone who combines strong design fundamentals with exceptional attention to detail and a passion for bringing brands to life across print, digital, retail, and environmental touchpoints. The ideal candidate enjoys day-to-day creative execution, can manage multiple projects simultaneously, and is used to a fast-paced, often scrappy, environment.

What You’ll Do

What You Bring

• Interest in AI-assisted creative workflows
