Job summary

TSHIRT'S PLACE Columbus in Columbus, OH onsite is seeking a Graphic Design & Production Assistant to support daily workflows and grow across custom apparel and printing.

You will operate DTF printers and embroidery machines, prepare artwork for printing and embroidery, and use Photoshop and Illustrator to edit layouts. Work with the team to deliver high-quality finished products.

Qualifications

• Degree in Graphic Design or related field required.
• Experience in printing or garment decoration preferred.
• Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.

Responsibilities

• Inspect finished printed and embroidered products and ensure quality standards are met.
• Maintain an organized, efficient, and safe production area.

Job description

Join the team at TSHIRT'S PLACE Columbus as a Graphic Design & Production Assistant in Columbus, OH (onsite). This role blends hands-on production support with creative graphic work, giving you a direct path to learn and grow across custom apparel and printing.

You will help run day-to-day workflows that bring client ideas into finished products, while sharpening production and design skills in a setting built around quality output and an organized shop environment.

What you will do

• Operate and learn to maintain DTF printers and embroidery machines.
• Prepare and adjust artwork files for printing and embroidery so production runs smoothly.
• Use Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator for editing, color correction, and layout.
• Collaborate with the design and production team to translate client direction into final designs.
• Assist with machine setup, calibration, and daily maintenance tasks.
• Inspect finished printed and embroidered products and ensure quality standards are met.
• Maintain an organized, efficient, and safe production area.

What you bring

• Degree in Graphic Design or a related field (Associate’s or Bachelor’s preferred).
• Experience in printing or garment decoration is highly preferred.
• Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
• A creative eye for detail, color, and layout.
• Ability to learn quickly, stay reliable, and build technical skills over time.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Helpful experience (a plus)

• Experience with embroidery digitizing software such as Wilcom or Hatch.
• Familiarity with CADlink Digital Factory or other RIP software.
• Basic knowledge of garment materials, thread types, and heat press processes.

Compensation: USD 15 - 15 per hour.
