Free Sunshields is seeking a detail-oriented Graphic Design Assistant in Saint Augustine, FL to turn customer ideas into production-ready artwork. This onsite role supports the full design-to-production handoff with organized files and clear communication within a small, creative team.

Qualifications

• Excellent working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Strong illustration and graphic design skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Create professional digital mockups, artwork proofs, and approvals documentation.
• Design and modify customer artwork using Adobe Creative Suite, with a focus on Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Manage artwork approvals by communicating with customers via email and phone for revisions and confirmations.
• Follow up with customers to secure approvals and address design-related questions.
• Organize approved proofs and prepare production paperwork to keep orders moving.
• Print approved proofs and production documents for the production queue.
• Ensure artwork files are production ready and accurately organized for handoff.
• Collaborate closely with the production team to support efficient order flow.
• Help maintain an exceptional customer experience from design through production.
• Contribute ideas that improve internal processes as the company grows.
• Create and develop new product offerings, working with the Design Team and customers on custom designs and brand-building.
• Create and develop new and unique shirt designs.

Free Sunshields is building new custom apparel offerings and needs a detail-oriented Graphic Design Assistant to help turn customer ideas into production-ready artwork. This is an onsite role in Saint Augustine, FL where you will support the full design-to-production handoff through customer approvals, organized files, and clear communication. Join a small, creative team and contribute to unique shirt designs while growing with a rapidly expanding company.

Requirements

• Excellent working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Strong illustration and graphic design skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Comfort communicating with customers via phone and email.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a close knit team.
• Self motivated with the ability to solve problems independently.
• Reliable transportation.
• Located in or near St. Augustine.
• Background check required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Shopify.
• Experience in the apparel or promotional products industry.
• Experience creating apparel graphics and preparing artwork for production.
• Experience working with commercial printers or preparing files for garment printing, DTF, sublimation, or embroidery.
• Knowledge of apparel decoration methods and production workflows.
• Experience managing customer artwork approvals.
