The California State University seeks a Graphic Design Technician at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo Campus to support Art and Design labs, ADRC, VRC and Design CoLab. You will coordinate access, provide technical and instructional support for classes and student projects, and help manage equipment and supplies.

You will analyze and repair equipment, train and supervise student assistants, ensure safe operation of lab tools, and collaborate with faculty and staff to deliver printing and design

Qualifications

• Equivalent to three years of instructional support experience or related field.
• Substitutions of college coursework for experience are allowed as described in the education section.
• Experience with materials, supplies, or equipment in a related design/education environment.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate activity and access for Art and Design labs, ADRC & VRC, and Design CoLab.
• Provide specialized technical and instructional support for classes and student projects.
• Make recommendations regarding equipment and supply purchases and replacements.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and perform repair/maintenance of lab equipment.
• Provide safety guidance and operation instructions to faculty, staff, and students.
• Order, issue, and maintain inventories of lab equipment and supplies.
• Plan and supervise work of student assistants, including hiring, scheduling, training, and evaluation.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to support printing and graphic design services.
