Job description

We’re looking for a talented graphic designer to join TruePoint Communications for a paid internship. You’ll work with a fast‑paced agency team to create visual assets for print and digital marketing campaigns, build presentations, and support client communication.

This 3‑month internship runs from July2025 to September2025. The internship is paid at $15 per hour and requires a full‑time commitment of 40 hours per week.

Applicants must be residents of the following states: Alabama, Arizona, Georgia, Kentucky, Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Florida, or Texas.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Design and produce a variety of artwork for print and digital marketing campaigns, branded collateral, and other promotional materials.
  • Create visually stunning presentations that effectively communicate key concepts, brand messaging, and creative ideas.
  • Collaborate with agency teams, create project schedules, and meet deadlines.
  • Proactively communicate with the team regarding deadlines, deliverables, and design direction.
  • Provide exceptional client service, taking full ownership and project management of assignments.
  • Contribute to brainstorming sessions, bringing fresh ideas and creative solutions.
  • Conduct research and gather relevant materials to support the design process, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ensure all assets are consistent and aligned with brand guidelines, mission, vision, and values.
  • Assist with meeting preparations as directed.
  • Resize existing artwork as assigned for print, web, and broadcast assets.
  • Prepare final files for print and web.
Qualifications
  • Obtained or in pursuit of a bachelor’s or master’s degree in graphic arts, design, or a related field.
  • Compelling portfolio showcasing a diverse range of design projects that demonstrate a keen eye for detail, typography, and layout.
  • Strong understanding of both print and digital design.
  • High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
  • Solid understanding and demonstrated experience with Canva.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Experience and working knowledge of layout, graphic fundamentals, typography, photo treatments, illustration, typesetting, and pre‑press print files, along with a strong sense of design trends.
  • Strong research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Great attention to detail, enthusiasm, organization, multitasking, and a desire to be a team player.
  • Creative thinking and brain‑storming skills that drive engagement and interaction.
  • Understanding of design initiatives and the ability to provide thoughtful input.
  • Ability to prioritize assignments, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing client needs.
  • Animation and video editing skills are a significant plus.
