Job summary

Grain Processing Corporation (GPC) is seeking a creative Graphic Design Intern for the 2027 summer to join the Sales & Marketing team. You will gain hands-on experience across print, digital, web, video, and event marketing while supporting branding initiatives and building your portfolio.

You will prepare graphics, manage assets, assist with web projects, and help update collateral. A portfolio is required; housing or gas stipend is available, and the role is based in Muscatine, Iowa.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Marketing, Digital Media, or related field.
• Portfolio showcasing design work required.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office.
• Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare graphics for a variety of digital and print projects.
• Organize and maintain digital assets.
• Assist with web projects as needed.
• Assist with updating marketing collateral and maintaining version control.
• Create and update sales and marketing collateral.
• Assist with video and photo production, including shooting and editing.
• Assist with tradeshow and event support as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

This internship offers hands-on experience supporting a variety of branding, marketing, and communications initiatives while working alongside experienced professionals. The ideal candidate is passionate about design, eager to learn, and excited to contribute to projects that support GPC's brand and business objectives. • This paid internship is eligible for company housing or a gas stipend, and provides a collaborate team environment, community events, and valuable experience at a family-owned company!
• The position is designed and intended to be performed in Muscatine, Iowa.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare graphics for a variety of digital and print projects
• Organize and maintain digital assets
• Assist with web projects as needed

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Marketing, Digital Media, or a related field
• Preferred: Junior or senior standing at an accredited college or university
• Sophomore candidates with relevant coursework, portfolio work, and demonstrated design skills may also be considered
• Portfolio showcasing design, layout, branding, digital, or related creative work required
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
• Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks within established timelines
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and administrative skills
• Detail-oriented and dependable
• Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset
• Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new tools and processes
