Job summary

Minuteman Press Southwest in Houston, TX is seeking a hands-on Graphic Design and Print Production Specialist to support a fast-paced print and sign operation. Responsibilities

• Create and modify customer artwork for print and signage.

• Design business cards, flyers, brochures, menus, banners, signs, decals, and other marketing materials.
• Operate and assist with digital printing and finishing equipment.
• Handle cutting, trimming, laminating, mounting, binding, and other production tasks.
• Assist customers in person, by phone, and by email; gather specifications.
• Prepare estimates and quotes; send proofs and communicate revisions.
• Follow up with customers regarding quotes, approvals, and completed orders.
• Keep jobs organized and moving through production; ensure quality checks.
• Maintain an organized and clean production environment; work with teams.

This role blends customer-facing design work with end-to-end print production, from file preparation and proofs through quality checks on finished orders.

Role Overview

You will create and refine customer artwork for a wide range of print and signage projects, prepare files for production, and assist with operating digital printing and finishing equipment. Along the way, you will communicate with customers in person, by phone, and by email to collect specifications, review proofs, manage revisions, and keep jobs moving through the production pipeline.

Responsibilities

• Create and modify customer artwork for print and signage
• Prepare customer files for production and ensure artwork is print-ready
• Design business cards, flyers, brochures, menus, banners, signs, decals, and other marketing materials
• Operate and assist with digital printing and finishing equipment

• Take customer orders and gather all necessary specifications
• Prepare estimates and quotes
• Send proofs and communicate revisions with customersFollow up with customers regarding quotes, approvals, and completed orders

• Work closely with the sales, design, production, and installation teams

Print and Sign Experience (Preferred)

• Experience in a commercial print shop, sign company, franchise print center, or similar environment is highly preferred
• Knowledge of products such as business cards, brochures, booklets, banners, vinyl graphics, yard signs, window graphics, dimensional lettering, and signage is a major plus

Compensation and Experience

• Pay: $15.00 to $25.00 per hour
• Minimum experience: 2 years (Printing) (Required)
