Contract role in Washington, DC (onsite) supporting the Brand Services Team. The Graphic Design and Layout Associate helps deliver high-volume print and digital communications by adapting templates, updating layouts, and preparing production-ready files that align with brand and editorial standards.
What you’ll do
- Adapt and edit approved print and digital templates using established layouts and brand standards.
- Implement copy updates, resize or replace images, and adjust layouts as needed.
- Create and refresh branded materials including advertisements, brochures, reports, digital banners, promotional items, signage, templates, and related communications.
- Prepare accurate, production-ready files for internal stakeholders and external vendors.
- Apply established brand, visual, and editorial standards across assigned projects.
- Review deliverables for accuracy, consistency, formatting, image quality, and overall presentation prior to delivery.
- Coordinate with internal clients and Creative Services team members to clarify requirements and resolve content or layout questions.
- Manage multiple assignments at once and meet established deadlines and service-level expectations.
- Support high-volume production needs across programs and initiatives.
- Assist with Creative Services digital platforms and internal creative resources, including asset portals, self-service tools, brand catalogs, and related tools.
- Complete other related graphic design and production support duties as assigned.
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communications, communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in graphic design, production design, layout, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, especially InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator, plus Adobe Acrobat.
- Strong foundation in graphic design fundamentals, including layout, typography, image selection, and production processes.
- Experience working within brand standards and template-based workflows.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to manage competing priorities, prioritize work, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate with creative team members and internal clients, and also work independently.
- Microsoft Office and digital asset management experience is a plus.
