Qualifications

  • Familiarity with project management tools (SharePoint, MS Planner).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; team-oriented.

Position Type: Full Time

Summary: Lead all aspects of Graphic Design as the lead for UCC and Latino Arts. The Graphic Design Coordinator will be responsible for managing the design workflow, coordinating with internal stakeholders, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality visual assets. This position will also play an active role within the agency’s marketing department, assisting with events, creating social media content and helping to elevate the agency’s brand through strategic marketing and design choices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Coordinate and manage the workflow of design projects from inception to completion, ensuring deadlines are met and quality standards are maintained.
  • Design. Lead all design projects for the agency, ensuring all materials maintain a consistent and cohesive brand and align with the agency’s mission and vision. This includes both digital and print projects.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments and team members (Development, Education, HR, Program Areas) to understand design needs and translate them into effective visual communication.
  • Quality Control: Review and provide feedback on design drafts, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and adherence to brand standards.
  • Vendor Coordination: Manage relationships with external vendors (printers, advertisers, photographers, etc.) to ensure the production of design assets meets specifications and quality expectations.
  • Content Management: Maintain and organize a library of design assets, including logos, images, templates, and other visual elements.
  • Trend Analysis: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and tools, recommending improvements or new approaches to design processes.
  • Problem-Solving. Address and solve design challenges creatively and effectively. Ability to adapt designs based on project needs and feedback.
  • Marketing Knowledge. Understanding of marketing strategies and how design fits into broader marketing campaigns.
  • Miscellaneous projects and duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in graphic design, with a proven track record in coordinating design projects.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other design software. (Canva) Familiarity with project management tools (SharePoint, MS Planner, etc.) is a plus.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present ideas and collaborate with team members. Team-oriented and able to work with many different individuals across the agency with clear and detailed communication.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong eye for detail, with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Time Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of print production processes.
  • Basic knowledge of digital content creation.
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment; bilingual Spanish/English desirable
