Job summary

UniFirst Corporation in Owensboro, KY is seeking an entry-level Graphic Artist - Customization to support digitizing, vector art creation, and sample preparation workflows. You will work with Direct to Film, embroidery, and textile printing processes, applying client specifications and design guidelines.

The role requires a portfolio or work samples, proficiency in Illustrator and Adobe Creative Suite, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in graphic art or related field or 2+ years of related job experience accepted in lieu of education.
Portfolio or examples demonstrating proficiency required.
Proficient vector art creation using Adobe Illustrator or equivalent software.
Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office skills required.
Direct to Film production and embroidery experience preferred.
Strong verbal and written English communication.

Responsibilities

Communicate design, document, and log responses with locations and inter-office operations.
Determine size and arrangement of materials based on space, aesthetics and production needs.
Create designs from electronic documents for clients or staff.
Operate embroidery equipment and understand related machinery.
Prepare illustrations and layouts for print reproduction per instructions.
Assist in printing, filing, or purging files.
Cross-train in Personalization tasks as needed.
Follow ISO quality and safety policies.
