Job description

The assignment of supervisory duties is determined by the hiring agency’s operational needs. The Grants Supervisor / Expert will serve as a senior technical expert providing guidance and oversight on the preparation, review, and administration of grants. Review complex grant proposals and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. Provide expert advice on the preparation of grant applications, budgets, and reports. Assist in developing and revising grant policies and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance. Coordinate and facilitate training for staff on grants management best practices and regulations. Serve as the point of contact for high-level or complex grant management issues and provide solutions as needed. Monitor the progress of active grants, identifying potential issues or risks and ensuring they are addressed promptly.

This position requires on-site employment with no remote or hybrid options available.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of computers and computer software such as Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word).

Experience with AASIS Software or SAP-based software preferred.

Experience in general Accounts Payable and procurement laws is preferred.

Minimum Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, accounting, or a related field preferred. Four years of experience in grants management or related, with at least one year in a supervisory or expert capacity.

Promotion to the next classification level is at the discretion of the department and the Office of Personnel Management, taking into consideration the employee’s demonstrated skills, competencies, performance, workload responsibilities, and organizational needs.
